Precision CNC Turning: Production and Lot Quantities
Kramatron boasts Hitachi Seiki HT-25G cnc lathes with box ways that deliver precision, rigidity, and powerful depth of cuts to remove stock quickly. The machines are rated @ 30 horsepower to handle large diameter work pieces (16" max.) and are equipped with live centers for shaft work. Tool probes allow for quick set ups. We also offer Hitachi Seiki HT-20 and HT-20SII cnc lathes with linear ways, 8" chucks and 5C, 16C spindle nose tooling for smaller diameter work pieces.
High Production Bar Feeding:
Turn/Mill live tooled Mori- Seiki NL2000mc lathe is equipped with a LNS magazine bar feeder for "One & Done", "lights-out" machining. 1/4" minimum to 2-1/2" maximum bar diameter allows for a solid range of part sizes thru the spindle. The turret has twelve stations with direct-drive live-tooling and will out perform machining centers without additional setups and holdings for more precise parts. The machine is rated at 30 H.P., rigid box ways, parts catcher and chip conveyor for full unattended machining capability. Conversational MAPPS III control for programming ease and Renshaw tool probe allows for quick set up.
Precision CNC Milling: (Production and Lot Quantities)
Our Haas VF-3 machining centers deliver quality, performance, and agility to the shop floor. 4th axis rotary machining, multiple surface machining, and large work tables enable multiple fixture setups. Manual pallet changers and off line tool qualification keep the machines cutting chips. The machines are rated @ 20 horsepower and equipped with rigid tapping, helicoil interpolation for thread milling operations, and quick code for shop floor programming reference. The automatic tool changers have 20 tool bi-directional magazines for fast tool retrieval. We have a wide array of table tooling including: quick change Kurt vises, Chick multiple part vises, as well as custom designed vacuum holding devices. Part tracability is obtained thru engraving, and serializing for parts identification.

Tool Room: Tooling and Prototyping
Kramatron uses Hardinge TFB, HLV, and DSM manual lathes, Bridgeport milling machines, and Victor gap lathes for our tooling requirements, secondary operations, and prototyping service.
Ancillary and Qualified Vendor Services
Kramatron offers other services to compliment our manufacturing processes including thread insert installation, broaching, burnishing, polishing, glass beading, electro-etching, surface grinding, tumbling, deburring, and assembly.
We have also formed alliances with qualified vendors to perform outside services such as welding, surface finishing, grinding, honing, heat treating, stress relieving, magnetic particle inspection, and radiography.
